It’s always a good day when you get to wear whatever you want and be away from the office. Even though the staff “retreat” didn’t include a vacation destination or poolside cocktails, I did learn a lot about myself and my coworkers…any by “coworkers”, I mean “myself”.
With the trustworthy Meyer-Briggs inventories in hand, my coworkers and I set out to complete the questionnaires that would explain to us our personality flaws…I mean, styles, our personality styles. My result: ISTP.
Unique: Am I excited that only 5% of the population is with me or completely disappointed that 95% of the population will struggle to understand me?
Unpredictable: “They can seem loyal and steady for a while but they tend to build up a store of impulsive energy that explodes without warning…” Have I mentioned that I am going to Africa next month?
Unintentional Asshole: It all makes sense! “…they act too soon, taking for granted their permissive nature and assuming that others are the same.” Not only is the personality combination rare, but I also assume everyone is just like me.
Moral of the story, I am so screwed.
