I work a standard work week Monday through Friday, getting Saturday and Sunday off, but this week, I was lucky enough to have MLK day off. THREE DAY WEEKEND! In just an 8 hour period, I slept in, spent time with my dad, organized three photo shoots, completed three photo shoots, grocery shopped, rearranged the food pantry, vacuumed, blogged, and caught up on social media.
At the end of the weekend I am left contemplating why it is, that on a typical two day weekend, I accomplish nothing. I wish I was joking. Literally, two days go by, and on Monday morning I’m left frantically blogging before work. I grab breakfast at Starbucks and lunch in the hospital cafeteria because I never got around to the grocery store. I come home to mountains of dirty laundry and dishes I did not clean on my 48 hour hiatus from work. BUT, give me a 3rd weekend day, and I’m June Cleaver…in a fur hooded jacket.
